Our fave experience in Northern Thailand!

Myself and 3 friends did the one day adventure. We were picked up at our hotel at 8am and we drove for about an hour to our tuk tuks. We did a short training session on how to drive them and off we went up into the mountains! We stopped at a couple of small villages and jungle temples on the way before arriving at the elephant home where we had lunch. We changed into the traditional mahout attire then met our elephants – we spent time with the 2 pregnant females and a 2-year-old baby. We fed them sugar canes then walked with them to the river where we bathed them and cooled off. We then went water rafting and the lovely lady in the local village gave us a free photograph with it being our honeymoon. Our guide was great and we learned so much from him about the locals and their way of life. He also took lots of pics for us on our camera. This has definitely been the highlight of our time in Thailand so far!

An unforgettable experience

An unforgettable experience – if you’re at all interested you should go for it! Learning how to drive the tuk tuk’s was fun and then the adventure began. You drive around in your very own tuk tuk seeing villages, temples and eating the fruit of the trees. Then you drive your tuk tuk to the elephant village, where you get a great meal prepared for you, then you feed the elephants, then walk with them to the river, where you wash the animals. Then just in a truck to get on a bamboo raft to float the river. Our guides were the best and always had plenty of water for you and plenty of information. This is a must do adventure.
